These are competitions between The Poynton and other retirement villages. The competitions are held in at least croquet, outdoor bowls and others. Watch the Poynton Press for details, of when either we are going to them or they are coming to us.
There is an amazing croquet course outside where you can play for fun or in one of the competitions. All equipment is stored in the nearby cupboard.
Bowls at the Poynton can be played inside in the activities room or outside on the bowling green. Feel free to play any time you like but check the schedule for any other use of the room.
Residents sit in chairs and aim to throw or roll the balls. Rules have been adapted for residents enjoyment. Ideal for those who find regular exercise a bit hard. 
This group meets at 9:30am on a Thursday on the terrain outside close to the Cafe. So grab a coffee and come and join us.
The dart boards are located in the Activities room for any residents at any time if you want to play or get in a bit of extra practise.
Snooker is located in the Billiards room which is near the restaurant. The same table can be used to play pool. All balls and cues are in the room so no extra equipment is required. In the same room are several other games such as chess. For game schedule refer to “What’s On”.
Table Tennis is a fun game for all ages! The table and equipment is located in the games room so feel free to play with your family or with the friendly completion within the Poynton. See timetable for more details.
This is a fun form of dancing, that doesn't require a partner. It is a great way to stay active, meet others and make friends, so feel free to come along on Wednesday at 9:15am in the Activities Room, $7.00.
